Crispy Fried Sweet Potatoes
Enjoy the Crispy Fried Sweet Potatoes! The first bite reveals a crunchy exterior and a tender, sweet inside. This isn't just a side dish; it's a flavorful experience that transforms sweet potatoes into a delicious treat.
Ingredients
- 3 whole sweet potatoes, boiled until completely tender
- 2 cups oil for frying
- 1 Tbsp chinese five spice powder
- 1/2 Tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 Tbsp kosher salt
Directions
Step 1
Break whole boiled Sweet Potatoes into random rustic looking pieces.
Step 2
In a dutch oven, heat the frying oil to 350 degrees.
Step 3
Add in broken pieces of sweet potatoes in the oil and fry until browned and caramelized.
Step 4
In a small bowl combine the Chinese Five Spice, Sugar and salt.
Step 5
Remove sweet potatoes from hot oil, onto a paper towel lined pan.
Step 6
Season potatoes with desired amount of Chinese Five Spice seasoning blend.
