Shipping Terms and Conditions

Our Commitment to Fair Shipping

At The Chef’s Garden, we work closely with our carrier partners to secure the best shipping rates available based on our volume. We pass those discounted rates directly to our customers and do not add any markup to shipping charges. In short, we do not profit from shipping.

We understand that shipping fresh, perishable produce can be expensive, and we continually work to minimize those costs while maintaining the speed and reliability required to deliver products in peak condition.

Carrier Responsibility

Once an order leaves our facility and is accepted by the carrier, it is in the carrier’s possession and control.

While we have historically experienced a 96–97% successful on-time delivery rate, all shipments remain subject to delays, disruptions, weather events, mechanical issues, and other circumstances that are outside of The Chef’s Garden’s control.

Because our products are highly perishable, delivery timing is critical. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee carrier performance once a package has been tendered to the carrier.

Route Shipping Protection

To better protect our customers and provide a streamlined resolution process, we have partnered with Route Package Protection.

Customers who add Route protection to their order are eligible to file claims directly through Route for qualifying shipping-related issues, including lost packages, damaged packages, or delays that materially affect product quality. Approved claims may result in a replacement shipment or refund in accordance with Route’s coverage terms.

We strongly encourage customers to add Route protection during checkout.

Orders Without Route Protection

For customers who choose not to add Route protection, The Chef’s Garden is unable to provide refunds, credits, replacements, or reshipments for shipping-related delays, loss, damage, or resulting product quality issues once an order has been accepted by the carrier.

While we have historically absorbed many of these costs on behalf of our customers, Route now serves as the designated protection program for shipping-related claims.

Delivered Packages

Tracking information will be provided via email once your order ships.

Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking updates and retrieving delivered packages promptly. Because our products are perishable, packages left unattended for extended periods may experience quality deterioration.

The Chef’s Garden is not responsible for:

  • Packages after they have been marked as delivered by the carrier.
  • Product quality issues resulting from packages being left outside after delivery.
  • Theft, loss, weather exposure, or damage occurring after delivery has been completed.

By placing an order, customers acknowledge and accept these shipping terms and responsibilities.
